Privacy Policy
Last updated October 28, 2026. This policy covers the RookieRanks website (rookieranks.com) and the RookieRanks app for iPhone and Android. RookieRanks is operated by Diversity Holdings Group LLC (“we”). Questions: use the contact form on our support page.
The short version
- You don't need an account to use RookieRanks, on the web or in the app.
- We don't sell your information, we don't show third-party ads in the app, and we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- In the app, your favorite teams, saved players and notification settings stay on your phone.
The RookieRanks app
- No account, no sign-in. The app does not ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, or location.
- On-device data. Favorite teams, saved players, recent searches and cached boards are stored only on your device so the app works offline. Deleting the app deletes them. You can also clear them any time in the app under Settings → Clear saved data.
- Notifications. If you turn on alerts, they are scheduled on your device (local notifications). We don't use push notification tokens and don't receive any identifier for your device.
- Loading data. To show the latest boards and articles, the app requests public data from rookieranks.com. Like any web request, our hosting provider (Vercel) briefly processes your IP address and basic device information to deliver it and protect the service. We don't link these requests to you.
- No analytics or advertising SDKs are included in the app, and the app does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA / Android Advertising ID).
The website
- Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count page views and measure page speed. They don't use cookies and don't identify individual visitors.
- Email updates (optional). If you sign up in our email pop-up, we store: your email address; the league you pick (NFL, NBA or both); any favorite teams you pick; whether you asked for articles only about those teams; the page you signed up on and the time; and a short list of the sports, draft years, teams and players you recently viewed on rookieranks.com. That viewing list is kept in your browser's local storage and is only sent to us if you sign up. We use this only to pick which articles to send you; we don't sell or share it. Every email will have an unsubscribe link, or ask us through the contact form and we'll delete it.
- Pop-up memory. Your browser's local storage also remembers if you closed the pop-up (so it stays hidden for 14 days) or already signed up.
- Contact form. If you send us a message on the support page, we store your email address, the topic, your message and the page you sent it from, so we can reply. Messages are stored privately and used only to answer you.
- Links. Pages may link to other sites (for example, data sources or our sponsor). Their own privacy policies apply there.
Children
RookieRanks is a general-audience sports site and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete any information we hold about you (in practice, only an email signup or a message you sent us) by sending a request through the contact form (choose “Privacy or delete my data”). We'll respond within 30 days. App data lives only on your device; delete the app or use Settings → Clear saved data.
Data sources and photos
Stats come from public sources (nflverse, Pro-Football-Reference, Basketball-Reference, ESPN box scores). Player photos are used only under their stated licenses (for example, Creative Commons), with credit shown. RookieRanks is not affiliated with the NFL, the NBA, or any team.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
