Editorial Policy & Corrections
Sourcing and accuracy
Every statistic in a RookieRanks article comes from either our own live boards (built from public data as described on the methodology page) or a named public source such as nflverse, Pro-Football-Reference, Basketball-Reference, ESPN or an official team or league announcement. News facts (trades, signings, injuries, quotes) are attributed to the outlet or reporter that broke them. We do not publish anonymous claims of our own.
Use of automation and AI
RookieRanks uses software, including AI writing tools, to pull numbers from our boards and draft articles quickly when news breaks. A draft is only published when its numbers match the live board and its news facts match a cited source. Rankings themselves are formula-driven and never hand-edited.
Updates
When a story develops, we update the article and its “Updated” time. Board numbers in an article reflect the board on the publish date; the live board keeps moving.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it and note the correction at the bottom of the article with the date.
Independence
Sponsored placements are labeled as sponsored and never change a ranking. RookieRanks is not affiliated with the NFL, the NBA or any team.
