The 2025 NFL Redraft, Re-Ranked: Tetairoa McMillan Goes First, Jaxson Dart Jumps to No. 2
A season and a half in, our live 2025 NFL redraft puts Tetairoa McMillan at No. 1, Jaxson Dart at No. 2 and Abdul Carter at No. 40. Here's how the class reshuffled.
Eighteen months ago, Tennessee took Cam Ward first overall and Jacksonville took Travis Hunter second. If the 2025 class were picked again today, neither would go in the top five. Our live 2025 NFL redraft re-ranks all 257 picks every day, and the current board is a reminder of how fast a draft can be rewritten.
How the board works: each player's value is his career Weighted Approximate Value (wAV, from Pro Football Reference) plus an estimated in-season credit built from 2026 snap counts through Week 8. That 2026 piece is our estimate, not an official stat, and with only one full season in the books, every verdict below can still swing.
The new top 10
| Redraft | Player | Pos | Team | Orig. pick | Value (wAV + 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Tetairoa McMillan | WR | CAR | 8 | 11.6 |
| 2 | Jaxson Dart | QB | NYG | 25 | 11.5 |
| 3 | Emeka Egbuka | WR | TB | 19 | 11.3 |
| 4 | Carson Schwesinger | LB | CLE | 33 | 11.2 |
| 5 | Tyler Warren | TE | IND | 14 | 11.0 |
| 6 | Will Campbell | OT | NE | 4 | 10.9 |
| 7 | Josh Conerly | OL | WAS | 29 | 10.7 |
| 8 | Cam Ward | QB | TEN | 1 | 10.2 |
| 9 | Armand Membou | OL | NYJ | 7 | 10.2 |
| 10 | Grey Zabel | OT | SEA | 18 | 10.2 |
The gaps are tiny. Only 1.4 points of value separate No. 1 from No. 10, so one strong month from anybody in this group could flip the order.
McMillan takes the top spot
Tetairoa McMillan went eighth to Carolina and now sits first. He has 102 catches for 1,485 yards and 9 touchdowns in 23 games, with 9 career wAV plus 2.6 of estimated 2026 credit. A No. 8 pick typically lands around No. 27 in a redraft, so he's 26 spots ahead of the usual curve.
His player page flags two quiet signals: he was 22 at the draft, and he played 16 of a possible 17 games as a rookie. Players his age have beaten their draft slot 56.1% of the time since 2000.
Dart and Schwesinger were the real bargains
Jaxson Dart is the most interesting name on the board. The Giants took him 25th, and he's second today on the strength of 11 career wAV, the highest raw total in the class. He has completed 242 of 373 passes for 2,522 yards, 18 touchdowns and 5 interceptions, and he's added 541 rushing yards and 9 scores on the ground. The catch: he has played just 2 games so far in 2026, so his estimated 2026 credit is only 0.5. If he gets back to a full workload, the top spot is his to take.
ESPN's pre-draft board had Dart 39th overall, so this wasn't one team reaching. The whole market had him as a late first-rounder, and the market was low.
Carson Schwesinger is the best value in the top five. Cleveland got him with the first pick of Round 2, ESPN ranked him 53rd, and he's fourth now with 89 tackles, 3.5 sacks and 2 interceptions. A No. 33 pick usually ends up around No. 57, which puts him 53 spots ahead of typical. His page also flags the linebacker position itself: since 2000, linebackers have beaten their draft slot 56.8% of the time, one of the strongest position signals in our data.
The Day 2 steals
Three third-round picks have already played their way into the top 15:
- Xavier Watts, S, ATL (pick 96, now No. 11): 81 tackles and 6 interceptions, and he hasn't missed a game, with 17 of 17 as a rookie plus 7 more this season.
- Jared Wilson, OL, NE (pick 95, now No. 13): ESPN had him 42nd overall and first at his position, yet he lasted 53 spots past that ranking. He also ran a 4.84 40-yard dash at 310 pounds, faster than 99% of offensive linemen timed at the Combine since 2000.
- Deone Walker, DT, BUF (pick 109, now No. 15): He was 21 at the draft and has played every possible game, with 27 tackles and 2 sacks. That's 110 spots better than a typical No. 109 pick.
Wilson's case is the clearest miss. When the top-ranked player at a position is still on the board in the middle of Round 3, the data was telling teams something they didn't act on.
The top-three picks who slid
Abdul Carter went third to the Giants after ESPN ranked him No. 1 overall. He's 40th today, with 4 career wAV, 29 tackles and 6 sacks, and his page says nothing in the pre-draft data flagged him as a risk. The gap opened on the field, and at 21 years old at the draft, he has time to close it.
Travis Hunter is 36th. He played 7 of a possible 17 games as a rookie, and his two-way line so far reads 34 catches for 374 yards and 2 touchdowns, plus 25 tackles and 2 interceptions on defense. His page flags availability and the receiver position, which has beaten its draft slot only 40.4% of the time since 2000.
Cam Ward has held up better at No. 8. He's thrown for 4,167 yards with 19 touchdowns and 11 interceptions and hasn't missed a game, which keeps him 17 spots ahead of where a No. 1 pick typically lands.
What to watch
A healthy Dart could take the top spot, and Carter needs only a strong November to start climbing. Track it daily, and compare it with this year's class on the live 2026 NFL redraft.
